Did you happen to see the movie Astro Boy? I did, and I can say that I liked it but did not love it like I thought I was going to. There was a ton of really good “hype” about the special effects and the special twist on a common plot. I did enjoy the affects….but it was not the original Star Wars though. How can you really compete with the original SW?

According to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375568/ it only got a 6.3 rating from the viewers, which is OK, but not as high as I think they were expecting.
Nicholas Cage might not have been the best actor for the part, he seems to have the same facial expressions and voice in all movies he plays. This was more of a teen/kid movie and I think a younger actor might have played the part a little more realistically than Cage.
Rotten Tomatoes http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/astro_boy/ said that only 53% of the audience polled enjoyed it as well….ok well.
